The Ministry of Trade through the Washington D.C. Trade Attaché, ITPC Chicago, and ITPC Los Angeles participated in the 2019 Global Specialty Coffee Expo (GSCE) which took place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, Boston, Massachusetts, April 12-14-14 2019.
The Indonesian Pavilion at booth 943 presented specialty coffee that was carried out by the Indonesian Specialty Coffee Association (AKSI), CV Gayo Mandiri, PT Santiang Exports, PT Meukat Commodity Gayo, PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII, PT Gayo Bedetak Nusantara, Upnormal Coffee Roasters, and Tentera Coffee Coffee Roasters who joined in promoting Indonesian coffee in an integrated manner in the United States. The GSCE 2019 exhibition was attended by 515 participants from all over the world, and Indonesia was also represented by an independent participant, PT Sulotco Jaya Abadi (Kapal Api Group) featuring green beans and coffee-derived products, and the Arinagata Cooperative from Aceh who were selected as one of the ambassadors of fair trade (fair trade).
A variety of specialty coffees featured include Sumatra Arabica Gayo, Lintong, Solok Minang, Kerinci, West Java Preanger, Toraja, Flores, Ciwidey, and Bali. In this exhibition, the Indonesian Pavilion not only featured green beans, but several companies carried brands with various variants of processed coffee, such as roasted whole beans, pour over coffee bags and single-serve pods.
